Strategic Plan 2025-2027

An Garda Síochána is in the process of drafting our Strategic Plan for 2025-2027, as required under Section 63, of the soon to be enacted, Policing, Security and Community Safety Bill.

We are keen to hear views from across society, on the challenges and opportunities facing our communities and the role of An Garda Síochána can paly working with you to improve community safety.

An Garda Síochána is resolutely focused on crimes that impact on our communities, particularly the most vulnerable in society; crimes that sadly, often occur where people should feel safest. We continue to build on our efforts to confront organised crime; degrading their capacity and bringing criminals to justice, through our detection and prosecution efforts and through meaningful engagement with the communities affected.

We wish to invite you to provide your views and be part of the discussion. If you would like to participate, we have a questionnaire which will only take a couple of minutes of your time to complete.

The survey is designed so that responses are anonymous. Information about your county of residence, gender, age range and ethnicity/cultural background is collected to assess how representative the survey responses are in comparison to Irish society.

Please do not include any personal data relating to or identifying you or any third parties in your response to the questionnaire. Any personal data that is provided by respondents as part of their responses is processed under Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Section 55(1)(b)(i) of the Data Protection Act 2018, as applicable.

Any personal data provided will not be retained for longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes of analysis of the survey results.
