Recruitment for Control Room Operatives in An Garda Síochána

An Garda Síochána are looking to recruit people to work within their Regional Control Centres located in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Waterford.

Staff in these centres respond to emergency 999/112 calls. This role is suited to individuals who have the drive and passion to make a difference to peoples’ lives but who are also able to work in a high pressured and sometimes emotive environment.

The Control Room Operator role is Clerical Officer level within the Civil Service. Full training will be provided to successful candidates. It is proposed to set up a panels from which vacancies arising in An Garda Síochána may be filled.

All centres operate 365 days a year where staff are rostered on a 24/7 full-time basis.

Working hours: The roster will consist of 4 days on and 4 days off, i.e., 4 days x 12-hour shifts which is 2 days followed by 2 nights and will include weekends and bank/public holidays.

Starting Salary: €534.34 with a 25% shift allowance weekly.
