Protected Disclosures Policy

The Protected Disclosures Policy has been published .

Any member of An Garda Síochána who raises issues will be fully supported. Each and every Garda member must know they have the right and responsibility to raise their concerns and be confident that they will be listened to and addressed.

In recent weeks, a Protected Disclosures Manager has been appointed and An Garda Síochána have begun establishing a dedicated team who will be appropriately trained to oversee all matters related to protected disclosures.

In addition, we are working with external experts in this area such as Transparency Ireland to help us create an environment to ensure people speaking up are supported and protected in An Garda Síochána.
