Malahide Concerts Traffic Management Plan 2018

Friday 15th June 2018 – Liam Gallagher

Saturday 16th June 2018 – Chic Nile Rogers

Friday 8th July 2018 – Kodaline

Saturday 9th July 2018 – Gorillaz

The Garda cordon outlined will be extended at the end of the event to facilitate the safe exit and dispersal of concert patrons. These closures will be implemented for the shortest time necessary. Vehicles will not be permitted to access the Garda cordon during this exit period in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles alike.

As a guideline this extended cordon will be in place for approximately one hour after the concerts end.

All private vehicles leaving the Castle grounds onto Back Road must turn right heading towards Dublin Road and then can go left or right accordingly, M50/M1.

From 9.45pm approx on each concert night traffic will be temporarily prevented from travelling along the Dublin Road towards Malahide Village at the Yellow Walls Road Junction. The exception will be buses and trucks as they will not be able to clear the bridge at Bissetts Strand.

This diversion will arise as large volumes of patrons exit the venue for the train station at the end of the event.

Traffic will also be prevented from proceeding past The Diamond, Malahide with traffic diverted either left up Church Road or right down New Street.

Concert Parking will be made available in the grounds of Malahide Demense. Parking will be free and will be operated by Fingal County Council.  Traffic will not be permitted to exit the car parks for a period after the concerts end in order to allow pedestrians to depart the area safely.
