Kaleidoscope Festival, Russborrough House, Blessington, Wicklow 28 - 30/6/19.

The Russborrough Estate, Blessington, Co Wicklow will host The Kaleidoscope Festival for the first time from 28th to the 30th of June 2019. The event is a family focused music and arts festival taking place on a number of stages throughout the Russborrough Estate.  

This outdoor music festival will allow for camping over the three days with a maximum attendance of 15,000 people per day.  Admittance to the event is by ticket only which are being sold by way of on-line websites.  

The overall event has a maximum capacity of 15,000 including children. At max capacity it is anticipated that this will equate to approximately 3,000 to 4,000 vehicles. A detailed list of the routes to be taken by the various forms of vehicular traffic is listed below: 

N81 Route (Dublin)

Car Park Route:

Car Park traffic will drive though Blessington Town on the N81 and turn right at the roundabout at the Texaco Garage.  It will take the immediate left onto the L6052. It will continue on the L6052 until the L3863 where the car park entrance is located (Gate 1). 

Car Camping / Campervan Route:

Attendees availing of car camping or the campervan site will be directed to stay on the N81 past Russborough house and turn right onto the L2050 towards Ballymore Eustace. In Ballymore Eustace they will turn right onto the L6056 where they will enter the festival site via Gate 3. 

M7 / M9 Route (via Naas)

Car Park traffic & Campervan/car camping traffic will take the south Naas exit from the M7 (Junction 10), take the Naas ring road as far as the R411 roundabout where it will join the R411 through to Ballymore Eustace. Car Park traffic & Campervan/car camping traffic will follow the L6056 with the Campervan/car camping traffic enter via Gate 3 and the Car Park Traffic enter via Gate 1. 

N81 Northbound Route (via Naas)

All festival traffic heading northbound on the N81 will be directed to Ballymore Eustace. Car Park traffic & Campervan/car camping traffic will follow the L6056 with the Campervan/car camping traffic enter via Gate 3 and the Car Park Traffic enter via Gate 1. 

Disabled Access

Disabled attendees who wish to camp will follow the car camping route and enter via Gate 3 where the accessible car park will be beside the accessible campsite. Disabled attendees who do not wish to camp will follow the car parking route and enter via Gate 1 where there will be a designated disabled parking area close to the arena entrance. 

Shuttle buses

Shuttle bus services will run from Blessington Town and The Avon during the event. It is planned that shuttle buses will run from Dublin City Center, Naas and Citywest subject to demand. The Citywest and Blessington route will follow the N81 southbound and enter the festival site via Gate 4 – which is an established coach entrance for Russborough House. The Naas route will follow the R411 southbound until Ballymore Eustace where it will join the L2025 and then head northbound on the N81 to Gate 4 where it will enter the festival site. 

Private Hire Coaches/Buses

Any Private Hire Coaches and Buses who arrive to the festival will be directed to follow the N81 southbound and enter the festival site via Gate 4 – the established coach entrance for Russborough House. Drop off of attendees will be accommodated. A registration process will be in place to facilitate an orderly collection of festival attendees. Parking of private hire coaches will not be permitted onsite. 

Taxis

Taxis will be directed the junction of the L6050 and the L3863 where they will follow the L3863 and enter the site via Gate 1 where they will drop at the drop off/point.
