Forbidden Fruits Festival, Royal Hospital Kilmainham 2-4/6/18

The Forbidden Fruits Music Festival will take place this June bank holiday weekend in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

There is a traffic management plan in place and from 2.00pm this Saturday, Sunday & Monday, Kilmainham Lane, Dublin 8 will operate a one-way system outbound only for all, including residents who can access from Bow Lane West.

Military Road, Dublin 8 will be closed to all traffic from 2pm until the end of the event. Residents of Heuston South Quarter or who wish to access businesses in that area should enter the underground car park on St. Johns Road West.

There will be no public parking available at the event and patrons should consider using public transport (Luas – Heuston or James Hospital stops).

Bag’s larger then A4 size will not be allowed inside the venue without exception.

From approximately 10.15pm each night, more severe road closures will come into force for approximately 1hr:

  • St. Johns Road West inbound will be closed and traffic diverted along South Circular Road to Islandbridge.
  • St. Johns Road West outbound will be closed and traffic diverted over Sean Heuston Bridge towards Parkgate Street. 
  • South Circular Road inbound closed at Islandbridge. 
  • South Circular Road outbound closed at the junction with Emmet Road.

Residents will be facilitated only when it is safe to do so.
