12 steps of Christmas 2022

Day 1 - Drink alcohol responsibly. Never, ever drink and drive.

Day 2 - Plan your night out.

Day 3 - You, your family should never walk home alone.

Day 4 - Take care when carrying your handbag, smart phone or tablet in crowded areas.

Day 5 - Watch out for pickpockets in crowded areas.

Day 6 - At ATM’s, only take out as much money as you need. Cover your pin number and call the Gardaí if you believe the machine has been compromised.

Day 7 - Take care of your Christmas shopping and never leave it unattended, especially in your car.

Day 8 - Park your car secure areas and well lit areas and make sure all doors and windows are locked.

Day 9 - Lock up and light up to avoid burglaries. Secure all car doors and windows. Leave a light on. Store keys safely and set your alarm.

Day 10 - Don't leave Christmas presents on view from outside of your home.

Day 11 - If you’re expecting deliveries always make sure there is someone to collect it or arrange for a trusted neighbour to take it in.

Day 12 - If you are going away for Christmas make your own home look occupied; Use timer switches on lights.
