Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band at Páirc Uí Chaoimh - 16 May 2024

GENERAL ADVICE

  • Parking Restrictions: There is no dedicated parking at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Car parks in the city centre are open and within easy walking distance of the stadium
  • Public Transport: Use public or shared transport where possible. The 202 and 212 bus routes serve Páirc Uí Chaoimh, with stops at Ballintemple on Blackrock Road, near the pharmacy
  • Pedestrian Safety: Pedestrians will be given priority after the concerts. Vehicles in the area will be held for pedestrian safety
  • Drinking (Alcohol) in public is not permitted and Gardaí will operate a zero tolerance approach
  • Littering: Please use the bins provided in the vicinity of the stadium to dispose of any litter
  • Toilets: Portaloos are in place in the vicinity of the stadium for use by patrons
  • Mobile Phones (eTickets): Please ensure that your mobile phone is fully charged, to ensure that you can present e-ticket at bag checks for entry to stadium
  • Searches: All patrons will be searched prior to entry to the stadium.

ROAD CLOSURES

From 2pm the following parts of Monahan Road and Maryville will be closed. These roads will reopen at approximately 12am:

  • Ardfoyle / Park Avenue
  • Blackrock Road / Maryville
  • Monahan’s Road / Link Road
  • Centre Park Road / Link Road.

A soft closure will be put in place on the following roads from 4pm. This will be upgraded to a full closure at 5pm. These roads will reopen at at approximately 12am:

  • Boreenmanna Road / Churchyard Lane (access for residents only)
  • Blackrock Road / Churchyard Lane (access for residents only)
  • Boreenmanna Road / Crab Lane (access for residents only)
  • Blackrock Road / Crab Lane (access for residents only)
  • Monahan Road from Victoria Road Junction (By Circle K)
  • Centre Park Road (from Roundabout)
  • Mill Road.

Residents are requested to have their driving licence with them to access road closure areas by car.

STADIUM ROUTE

The stadium can be accessed by foot from the City Centre via Centre Park Road and Monahan Road (15 minute walk to stadium).

The stadium can be also be accessed by foot from the Boreenmanna Road via, Churchyard Lane, Maryville (10 minute walk to stadium).

The 202 Bus travels from Cork City to Blackrock Village. The bus stops for a pickup at Ballintemple. Exiting the bus at Maryville places commuters two minutes from the stadium.

 

BY CAR

  • From the South Link Road (N27):

Take the Mahon / Blackrock exit, then proceed left onto Skehard Road toward Boreenmanna Road.  Utilise available parking in the area being respectful of local residential and business needs. Please note that priority exiting will be given to traffic from Mahon and Ballintemple heading towards the South Link Road after the match.

  • From the North Ring Road (N20/N40):

Take the Dunkettle exit onto Lower Glanmire Road. Public car parks are available for parking in the city centre.

 

PARKING

Parking will be available in city centre car parks.

Do not:

  • Park on footpaths or at entrances to housing estates, business premises, parks, etc
  • Park in disabled spaces or at bus stops
  • Park in an area which may restrict access for emergency services.

BUSES

Coaches and buses are advised to park on the Boreenmanna Road for after concert priority.

DROP OFF

  • The drop off area for taxis is on Victoria Road, just before Marina Walk
  • All other large public service vehicles are to set down and pick up on the Boreenmanna Road.

AFTER CONCERT

Following the concert we would ask that everyone follow the direction of Gardaí and stewards. Patrons are strongly advised to use the tunnel and South Ring Road to travel home. Traffic will be restricted going through the city.

The attendance is expected to be in the region of 40,000 plus so we would ask for everyone to have patience when leaving the stadium and its environs.
