I am currently carrying out research relating to the investigation of domestic and sexual related offences which I believe fall under the remit of the Garda National Protective Services Bureau and the respective divisional units. I understand that some investigations of this nature remain locally.

Specifically I am interested in the ratio of male to female officers that make up each of these units.

I would be obliged if you could provide me the number of male and female officers currently working in the National Protective Services Bureau, and in each of the divisional protective service units. I understand from the Garda website there are currently 10 divisional units.

If information relating to one or more of the divisional units is not available, I would be obliged if information relating to the remaining units could still be provided.

This request is made pursuant to Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014.
