Gardaí in the DMR West arrested three individuals following the unauthorised taking of a vehicle in the early hours of Wednesday, 12th March 2025. At approximately 2:15am,
Gardaí received a report of a group of males attempting to interfere with a parked vehicle outside a residential complex on Snugsborough Road in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
Gardaí arrived at the scene a short time later and intercepted a car matching the reported vehicle description which was attempting to exit the area.
Three teenage males were arrested and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Two of the arrested males, adults in their late teens, have since been charged and are expected to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date.
The third arrested male, a juvenile, has been released pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion programme.
The vehicle was removed from the scene for technical examination by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit. Investigations are ongoing.
