As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the region, Gardaí in Sligo seized around €150,000 worth of cannabis and arrested a man on 23rd March, 2025.
The Sligo Detective Unit searched a residential property in the Cranmore area and found a total of 7.5kg of cannabis, with an estimated street value of €150,000.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and is currently being detained at a station in in the Garda North Western Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
