Gardaí have arrested a man following a public order incident, that occurred at Abbey Street, Dublin 1, this afternoon, Saturday 8th March 2025, at approximately 1pm.
During the course of the incident, a member of An Garda Síochána received injuries to his arm, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time. He was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment.
A man (aged in his late 30’s) was arrested at the scene, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin City Centre area.
Garda welfare services will be put in place for the Garda member.
