Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, on Sunday, 12th January 2025.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m., Gardaí and emergency services responded to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on New Street, Abbeyfeale. The pedestrian, a male in his 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
The scene is preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place. A report will be sent to the local Coroner and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision. Additionally, anyone with video footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, is asked to come forward.
