Discovery of a Woman's Body, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, 11th January 2025

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious incident which occurred at a domestic residence in a rural area near Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan last night, Saturday 11th January 2025. Garda were alerted to the incident at approximately 9.30pm.

The body of a woman was discovered at the scene. The body remains at the scene tonight.

A man was seriously injured and brought to hospital for treatment. The scene remains sealed off.
