Arrest: Hit-and-Run Road Traffic Collision, Dromiskin, Co. Louth - 6th January, 2025

Gardaí have arrested a woman in her 30s in connection with a hit-and-run collision that occurred near Whitehouse Cross, Dromiskin, Co. Louth on Monday 6th January, 2025.

At approximately 6.25pm, Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a collision, involving a vehicle and a cyclist, on the R132 in Dromiskin, Co. Louth.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to be treated for serious injuries. He remains in a critical condition.

A woman was arrested this morning and is being detained at a Garda Station in the Lough-Cavan-Monaghan Division under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
