Gardaí continue to investigate an incident which occurred in Lifford, Co. Donegal on Monday, 20th January, 2025.
Following the incident, a man (aged in his 20s) was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, for treatment of life-threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.
A second man (aged in his 60s) was brought by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of less-serious injuries.
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
They are particularly anxious to speak to any persons who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) of a silver/grey Peugeot 3008 (2009-2013 model) in the Coneyburrow Road area of Lifford between 10am and 11am on 20th January to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
