As part of an international operation targeting the sharing and distributing of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), An Garda Síochána has conducted a number of searches at several locations in Ireland and has seized devices containing CSAM.
The searches at nine locations nationwide were coordinated by the Online Child Exploitation Unit within the Garda National Protective Services Bureau and conducted by Gardaí attached to Divisional Protective Services Units.
Nine locations were searched and 18 devices have now been seized by An Garda Síochána as evidence.
Investigations into these seizures are now underway and a number of arrests will be made in due course as part of this ongoing operation.
