Gardaí were alerted following the discovery of a suspect device at a residence in Wexford town at approximately 7pm yesterday, Friday 11th April 2025.
A cordon was established and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene.
The EOD team examined the suspect device and subsequently made it safe and the cordon was lifted.
A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda Station in Co. Wexford under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
He has since been charged and will appear before a special sitting of Waterford District Court at 6pm this evening, Saturday, 12th April, 2025.
