Arrest and Court Appearance - Armed Robbery of a Commercial Premises, Ballybrack, Co. Dublin - 8th April 2025

Gardaí in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) East arrested and charged a man following an armed robbery in Ballybrack, Co. Dublin yesterday evening, Tuesday 8th April 2025.

At approximately 5:25pm, a male entered a commercial premises on Church Road and threatened staff with a knife.

A sum of cash was stolen and the male left the scene. No injuries were reported.

Following enquiries and ongoing investigations as part of Operation Táirge, a male in his 40s was arrested later on Tuesday evening in Dublin city centre and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in the DMR East.

He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Dún Laoghaire District Court at 10:30am this morning, Wednesday 9th April 2025.

Investigations are ongoing.
