Man Arrested and over €400,000 Drugs Seized , North Dublin – 18th September 2024

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized combined drugs worth €414,040 as part of searches in Dublin’s North Central and DMR West on Wednesday, 18th September 2024.  

Gardaí attached to the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) seized an estimated €281,120 worth of diamorphine, €54,530 cocaine, €62,090 cannabis herb and €16,300 MDMA.

The searches were part of an ongoing operation targeting a major supply line of diamorphine (heroin) in the DMR West.

The drugs will now undergo analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).  

As part of this investigation, a man in his 40s is currently detained at a Garda Station in the DMR under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
