Joint Operation GNDOCB and Revenue Customs Service, Arrest and Seizure of €60,000 of MDMA, Co. Louth. 6th September, 2024

As part of an intelligence-led operation, involving An Garda Síochána and Revenue officers a seizure of approximately 1kg of methamphetamine with an estimated value of €60,000 took place today, Friday 6th September, 2024 in Co. Louth.
 
The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Louth Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.
 
A woman, aged in her 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in County Louth.
 
Investigations are ongoing.
