Gardaí seized a firearm, ammunition and two vehicles during a search operation in Baldoyle, Dublin 13 on Wednesday evening, 25th September 2024.
As part of ongoing investigations into recent criminal activity in the Baldoyle area, Gardaí in Howth conducted a search operation under warrant at a property on the Moyne Road. Assistance was provided by the District Detective Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit, District Drugs Unit, the District Crime Task Force and uniform Gardaí from Clontarf and Raheny.
During the course of the search, a sawn-off double barrel shotgun and ammunition was found concealed in an abandoned vehicle. The firearm and ammunition was seized by Gardaí and is subject to further analysis by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
Two vehicles were also seized by Gardaí during the course of the search and are subject to a technical examination.
No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
