Arrest: Hijacking of a Vehicle, Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1, 23rd September 2024

Gardaí have arrested a man as part of the investigation into the hijacking of a vehicle in Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1 on Monday afternoon, 23rd September 2024.

The man (aged in his 40s) was arrested this evening for an offence contrary to the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, 1976, the Unlawful Seizure of Vehicles. He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in North Dublin.

Investigations are ongoing.
