An Garda Síochána and Revenue Customs Service seize Cannabis Worth €132,000 in Dublin – 26th September 2024

A man in his 30s has been arrested following a joint operation by An Garda Síochána and the Revenue Customs Service in Dublin on Thursday, 26th September 2024.

As part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 6.6 kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of €132,000, in the Blanchardstown area.

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested by Gardaí and is currently being detained at a Garda station in the Dublin Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He can be held for up to seven days.

The seizure was the result of a joint operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the K District Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.

Investigations are ongoing.
