Update: Investigation into Alleged Harassment of Elected Representative. 2nd October, 2024.

On Tuesday, 1st October 2024, Gardaí arrested a further individual for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act, as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged harassment of an elected representative on 2nd May 2024. The man (30s) who was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Co. Wicklow has since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Investigations ongoing.
