Witness Appeal - Fatal Road Traffic Collision, N11 Crossabeg, Co.Wexford - 27th November 2024

Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of a fatal road traffic collision on the N11 at Crossabeg, Co. Wexford, this evening, Wednesday 27th November 2024.

The collision occurred between Kyle Cross and Oylegate shortly before 5pm and involved a lorry and two cars.

A man aged in his 50s, has been pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two other individuals have received medical treatment at the scene for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The road will remain closed overnight with local diversions in place. A technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is ongoing.

One man, aged in his 20s, has been arrested and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in Co. Wexford.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N11 and its environs, between 4.45pm and 5.45pm on Wednesday 27th November 2024, to make this footage available.
