Issue Date: 27/11/2024
- An Garda Síochána acknowledges the significant support received by the public in progressing this investigation
- Nominations received for over 90 ‘Persons of interest’
On the 19th November 2024, An Garda Síochána published CCTV images of 99 ‘Persons of Interest’ on the Garda website www.garda.ie.
The purpose of the publication was to identify these 99 ‘Persons of Interest’ to either rule each individual ‘in or out’ of and progress the criminal investigative process.
To date, nominations have been received in respect of over 90 of the images of ‘Persons of Interest’.
As such, An Garda Síochána has today removed all remaining images from the Garda website. The investigation team will continue to consider how to progress and identify the small number of remaining ‘person of interest’ cases.
An Garda Síochána is not confirming at this time the role of any nominated/ identified individual in the events of the 23rd November 2023 and it should not be presumed that a nomination/ identification means criminal involvement in these events.
An Garda Síochána is continuing the process of validating all nominations received. Each person subsequently confirmed as identified is entitled to and will be afforded due process in progressing their individual case. In order to facilitate and expedite this An Garda Síochána has provided additional resources to the dedicated Garda investigation team.
