Update - Fatal Shooting Incident, Three Males Arrested, Drimnagh, Dublin 12, Monday 6th May 2024

Gardaí are continuing to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday 6th May 2024, on Knocknarea Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12.

The post mortem of the male deceased will be carried out today by State Pathologist Heidi Okkers.

The three males arrested as part of this investigation remain detained at Garda Stations in the Dublin Region under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

During the course of this investigation Gardaí have recovered a firearm.  This firearm will be subject to forensic examination.

All scenes held have now been lifted following the completion of technical examinations. All roads have been reopened.

A number of cars seized have been taken to a secure Garda storage facility for forensic examination.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.  Any information received will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
