Gardaí in Limerick have seized over €20,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine during the course of a search operation yesterday, Thursday 16th May 2024.
Yesterday's operation aimed at targeting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in Limerick City was coordinated by uniformed and detective members of An Garda Síochána with assistance from the Regional Armed Support Unit (ASU).
Five search warrants were executed at properties in the King’s Island area of Limerick city.
During the course of the searches, heroin to the value of €10,500 and crack cocaine to the value of €10,150 was seized along with €1,300 cash. All drugs seized are now subject to examination by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigations are ongoing.
