Gardaí seized €170,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb and arrested one man, as part of Operation Tara, yesterday, Saturday 18th May 2024.
At approximately 5.30pm yesterday afternoon, Gardaí conducted a search of a vehicle in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. During the course of the search, approximately €170,000 of suspected cannabis herb (pending analysis) was seized. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
One man (aged in his 30s) was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda station in Dublin.
Investigations are ongoing.
