On Friday 24th of May 2024, an intelligence-led operation was put in place involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs Service, following the detection of a consignment with approximately 105 kgs of herbal cannabis, with an estimated market value of €2,100,000 (subject to analysis) which was seized in Dublin.
Two males, aged in their 30’s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána following the seizure and are currently being detained in a West Dublin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing at present.
