Court Appearance - Over €299,000 cannabis seized by Revenue - Dublin Airport - 27th March 2024

Gardaí arrested a woman in her 50s following a seizure by Revenue of herbal cannabis estimated at over €299,000, at Dublin Airport earlier today, Wednesday 27th March 2024.  

Revenue officers seized 14.9 kgs of herbal cannabis which was discovered vacuum-packed within luggage.  

The woman arrested by Gardaí was detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.

She has since been charged and appeared at the Criminal Courts of Justice (CCJ), this afternoon, Wednesday 27th March 2024.

Investigations are ongoing.
