Gardaí are continuing to investigate a suspected fatal assault on a male that occurred in the early hours of Friday 28th June 2024 in Castleisland, Co. Kerry.
A post-mortem on the deceased was completed earlier today. The results of which are not being released for operational reasons.
A man in his 40s who was arrested as part of this investigation is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in Co. Kerry.
Examinations of the scene at An Caislean Mor remain ongoing.
