Witness Appeal: Hit and Run Road Traffic Collision, Doneraile, Co. Cork, 28th June 2024

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred in Doneraile, Co. Cork on Friday 28th June 2024.

At approximately 2:30pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a road traffic incident involving two cars at Brough Cross, Doneraile.

A male in his 20s, injured in the incident, was taken by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of one of the cars involved failed to remain at the scene and has yet to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users or pedestrians who were in the vicinity of Doneraile between 2:00pm and 2:30pm and have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
