Gardaí in Longford are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding a fire at a premises in Longford on Sunday, 28th July 2024.
Shortly before 1:30 AM, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fire at a premises on Grafton Court in Longford town. Residents in the overhead apartments were safely evacuated, and the fire was brought under control by local Fire Services. No injuries were reported. The scene remains preserved, and a forensic and technical examination is ongoing.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Gardaí in Longford. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
