Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the coast road in Baldoyle, Dublin 13 which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 17th July 2024.
Shortly before 1am, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was fatally injured.
The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
The car involved in the collision failed to remain at the scene.
The road was closed overnight to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. The road is expected to re-open shortly.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
