Gardaí continue to investigate the fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Lismoran, Foxford, County Mayo, yesterday evening, Tuesday, 2nd July 2024. The collision, which involved a car and a lorry, happened on the N26 at approximately 5:45 pm, resulting in the deaths of Aisling Moore (46) and Abbigael Moore-Tournié (8).
The scene has been examined and the road has since reopened to traffic. Post-mortem examinations have been arranged.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the N26 between Swinford and Foxford between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening are asked to provide this footage to Gardaí.
