Witness Appeal: Serious Road Traffic Collision, Co. Wexford, 27th January 2024

Gardaí in Wexford are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred in the vicinity of Mullanour, Murntown, County Wexford on Saturday evening, 27th January 2024 at approximately 11.35pm.

The single vehicle collision, which involved a motorcycle, occurred on the R733 at the Redshire Road junction.

The male motorcyclist (aged in his 30s) was seriously injured during the collision. He is currently receiving medical treatment at Beaumont Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

The scene of the collision on the R733 is currently closed pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling on the R733 (Wexford to Duncannon road) between 11.00pm and 11.45pm yesterday evening, and who may have camera footage (including dash cam), is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
