Gardaí have arrested a man (50s) in relation to an aggravated burglary and assault that occurred at a residence on Kilbarron Road, Coolock on the night of Tuesday 16th January, 2024. A large amount of criminal damage was done to the property.
A man (20s) was seriously assaulted during the incident and was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
His condition remains serious. As part of this investigation, a man (50s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in North Dublin.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before Criminal Courts of Justice, Court number 4, this morning Thursday 18th January, 2024 at 10.30am.
Investigations are ongoing.
