As part of Operation Tara and the investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the North Co. Kildare area, Gardaí seized approximately €500,000 of cannabis during a search operation on Thursday 4th January 2024.
The search of a residential premises in the Clane area was carried out by members from Kildare North Drug Unit and Naas and Clane uniform members.
During the course of this search cannabis herb amounting to 25 Kgs with an estimated street value of €500,000 was seized.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
A woman aged in her late 30’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 Drug Trafficking Act 1996 at a Garda Station in the Kildare Region.
