As part of an ongoing operations targeting the supply of controlled substances into prisons in the West Dublin area, Gardaí from the Drugs Unit in Ronanstown conducted a search of a residential property in west Dublin on Friday, 23rd February 2024.
During the search, cash in excess of €180,000, in various denominations, was seized. Additionally, a designer watch valued at €10,000 and several mobile phones were confiscated.
A 42-year-old male was arrested and is currently detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.
This operation follows a previous seizure involving a drone and a quantity of diamorphine intended for delivery into a west Dublin prison on 12th February 2024.
