Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a bicycle and a car that occurred shortly before 9:30am on Sunday 18th February 2024 on the Malahide Road at Kinsealy in Dublin 17.
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries. He has since been pronounced deceased. No other serious injuries to persons was reported.
The Malahide Road at Kinsealy is currently closed and the services of Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Malahide Road in the Kinsealy area between 9am and 9:30am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
