The female (50s) receiving medical treatment in Portiuncula University Hospital passed away from her injuries, yesterday, Thursday 12th December 2024.
The local coroner has been notified. A post mortem examination will take place in due course.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information on this incident to come forward.

A male (50s) appeared before Ballinasloe District Court yesterday, Thursday, 12th December 2024.
