As part of the ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the East Cork area under Operation Tara, Gardaí seized €260,000 controlled drugs following searches on Friday 16th August 2024.
Members attached to Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search of a residential premises in the Carrigtwohill area. During the course of this search suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of €140,000 and suspected cocaine with a street value of €120,000 was recovered.
A woman (40s) and two men (50s and late teens) have been arrested in connection with this seizure and all are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Garda Stations in Cork County.
All drugs seized will be sent for forensic analysis
