As part of the ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Cork City, Gardaí seized €240,000 Cannabis on Friday evening, 16th August 2024.
A search of a residential premises in the Mahon area was conducted by members attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit, Anglesea Street. During the course of this search, approximately 12kg Cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000 was recovered.
A man, aged in his 20s, has been arrested and is currently detained under provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, at a Garda Station in Cork City.
The drugs seized will be sent for forensic analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
