Investigation into Child Cruelty and Unlawful Medical Practices

Gardaí in Blanchardstown have been carrying out an investigation into alleged child cruelty and unlawful medical practices.

On Tuesday 30th July 2024, a male was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The male has been charged with an offence contrary to the Medical Practitioners Act 2007 and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice today 1st August 2024.

As this matter is now before the courts An Garda Síochána cannot make any further comment.
