As part of ongoing investigations into the sale and distribution of drugs and related crime, Gardaí from the Cork City Drugs Unit, in collaboration with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue Customs, conducted a joint operation in Cork City on Thursday, 29th August 2024.
During the operation, cannabis valued at €60,000 (pending analysis) was seized, and a man in his 30s was arrested. He is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.
The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
