Gardaí have arrested a man and a woman following a seizure of cocaine estimated to be worth €140,000, following a search in Limerick City on Wednesday, 14th August, 2024.
The suspected cocaine was seized on Wednesday evening when Gardaí stopped a vehicle on the southside of the city. Large packages containing the cocaine was seized following a search of the vehicle.
The seized drugs will now be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) to undego further analysis.
A man (40s) and a woman (teens) have been arrested in connection with this seizure and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.
