Witness Appeal – Serious Assault in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, April 11th, 2024

Gardaí in Ballyfermot are seeking witnesses following a serious assault on a male in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Thursday, April 11th, 2024.

Shortly after 11 am, Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at St. Cuthbert's Park, where a male in his 20s had been seriously assaulted. The victim sustained multiple lacerations during the incident and was subsequently transported by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital for treatment. His condition is understood to be serious but stable.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination, and an incident room has been established at Ballyfermot Garda Station. The investigation is being led by a Garda Senior Investigating Officer (SIO). At present, no arrests have been made.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward. Additionally, individuals with mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam recordings from the area at the time are encouraged to provide this footage to investigating Gardaí.
