As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí from the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) conducted a planned search of a residential property located in the Fortunestown area of Dublin 24 on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.
During the search, cannabis herb with an estimated value of approximately €80,000 (pending analysis) was discovered and seized. Subsequently, a male in his 40s was arrested and is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station within the Dublin Region.
The seized drugs will undergo analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
